Lampshade measurementsThere are four measurements that are normally taken for a standard lampshade:
  1. Top
  2. Width
  3. Height
  4. Side

Measure a Victorian LampshadeHowever, for Victorian style lampshades, the Fringe length is also important. So, if you order a custom size shade, we need the following measurements:
  1. Top diameter of shade
  2. Bottom diameter of shade (width)
  3. Vertical height measurement of the shade. (Tip: Set the shade on a table and measure straight up and down on the inside)
  4. Fringe length
With the first three measurements we make the lampshade arc. The last one is needed to finish the shade.
